WW Friendly Focaccia Bread

Servings 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup self rising flour
  • 2 tbsp dried or fresh rosemary
  • 2 tsp coarse or flaky sea salt
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp minced or fresh garlic
  • 1 1/3 cup nonfat greek yogurt or 2 containers of 5.3 oz yogurt
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions

  1. Add the dry ingredients: flour, onion powder, half of the rosemary, half of the parmesan, and half of the salt to a medium bowl.

  2. Mix in the yogurt and minced garlic.

  3. With a wooden spoon or rubber spatula, combine the ingredients together. (It’s not necessary to get it into a dough consistency at this stage)

  4. Transfer the ingredients onto a floured surface.

  5. Using your hands, continue to incorporate all the ingredients together until you have a dough consistency.

  6. Knead the dough until it forms a ball

  7. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes. 

  8. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.

  9. Place the ball of dough on the cookie sheet and spread into a long, rectangle loaf.

  10. Brush olive oil all over the dough.

  11. Sprinkle the top of the dough with the remaining rosemary, parmesan and sea salt.

  12. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes, until it’s a golden brown.
